Camping and all that craziness at the Lybecks....

So we packed up the gang and headed to Amboy, Illinois this weekend. Why amboy b/c we were hitting a graduation party on sunday for gregs cousing in Oregon, Illinois. We met some other family members at the campground with their three kids. It rained on us the whole drive there(2 hours and a big detour b/c the mississippi bridge was closed) this is bad b/c I HATE riding in the car for any longer than 30 min, needless to say the kids did great and were so excited when we got there b/c the rain had stopped. You would think you would find a muddy mess, but not the case here. We had a great time from swimming, hayrack rides, waterslides, the drive in movie theater, the parks, and not to mention seeing the fam. We bought a camper with Nate and Sara last summer and love it, it is the cheapest way to travel with kids and they cannot get enough. Isaac of course cried when it was time to go home and asked when we could camp again(might I add that I figured he brought his blankie along and when we arrived at the campsite and he did not have it he ended up doing great and didnt ask for it till the car ride home-this is a big step for this little guy who cant get enough of his blankie or CHOCOLATE MILK) . The grad party was great and nice to see more family again. I'm sure there will be may more camping trips to come, but know I just need to convice SARA of how much fun it is. LOL

We are having a.................

BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HOLY COW:) I cant believe it either. We decided to have my IUD(a form of birth control) removed in February b/c I wasnt feeling very good on it. Decide to just pray for a month while on vaca and then start something when we got back from Florida. BUT God had a different plan for us:) We went to the doctor today and we are due November 17. We are very excited and now are for sure going to do something permanant after this baby is born. I am so glad that God is in charge and not me. For I know the plans I have for you, this verse keeps playing in my mind when I think of our new adventure. More to come.........................

She has finally done it

She has figured it out. Chloe can now officially ride her bike(hallaugh??). This has been a huge work in progress. Greg is much better with patience and training, so he ended up getting her to finally do it. She rode down to Isaac creamery and back the other day, and she rides everyday when she gets home from school. This is huge for us since we could not go anywhere once she is home from school this summer b/c I can't pull three kids behind my bike. It was so cute, the other morning we were doing her devotion before school and it was the story about sarah and abraham. Talking about how they had to be patient and trust in god. She was so afraid of us to let go of her for fear that she my fall and get hurt. This devo was a great example of being patient and leaning on the lord for help. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understandings. Proverbs 3:5. So now we are working on Isaac, but a longer bike ride is do able now:) and I love to ride my bike. Way to go chloe WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!

4 year old+4 shots+baby+2 shots=lots of tears

So yesterday I took baby K and Isaac to the doctor. It was Isaacs 4 year check up, which involves a finger poke to drawl blood, lots of questions, and then 4 shots!!!! So they did the finger poke first and took his stats(which I cannot believe he is in the 80% for his weight and 75% for his height), we just grow them big at the lybeck house I guess. Then when the nurses were leaving they asked him to get down to just his underwear. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, that would be a problem for us b/c he doesnt wear underwear. There were lots of weird stares and I am sure we were the topic of lunch discussion. Nothing new to Isaac. Anyways when the doc came in she check him all over then told him she was going to check his privates, pulls down his pants and asked if maybe she missed his underwear or did they come down when she pulled down his sweatpants. Yet again I am trying to explain he doesnt wear underwear, and her questions is well does he ever have problems with rashes or chaffing?? What?? Could we please just get over it and realize this kid just doesnt like them, okay? You would think we were done, but no then they come back for his shots and have to pull his pants down!!! Again opps did I pull his undewear down with his pants, umm no he just doesnt wear any. So then I lay on top of my poor boy(who doesnt wear any underwear)and watch him cry out in pain. I absolutely hate this age at the doctor and you would think he would be used to the doctor by know(or maybe he was confused b/c we were not at the er). So then I have to sit him in the chair, still screaming crying and get baby k shots. She is such a champ(thank goodness). I walk out of the office with two crying children:) I think he is definetly not a typical middle child. He will always stick out with that great personality. Oh the good days. Note to self: remember underwear for Isaac at the doctor, not just for sunday school.

Swim trunks and packing for our trip...........

So I have almost finished packing for our trip to disney.(yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh) I was looking up the weather to try and figure out what kind of clothes to bring for the kids. I started going through Isaacs clothes and realized that this kids owns 10 pairs of swimtrunks!!!! Oh that is right one for everyday of the week and then some in case of brownie marks. Isaac has NEVER worn undies in his whole potty trained life(which is almost two years). He went along time just free balling it???(I have no idea how to spell that), then we would make him were boxers to church(worried about what others might start saying). But no more, we just wear swimtrunks everyday(there must be some kind of comfort in the mesh lining-not so sure about that one). So Isaacs everyday attire consists of swimtrunks-some kind of shirt that NEVER matches. I do make him wear long sleeves and long pants over them- but dont you freight, he will walk in your front door and strip down to the swimtrunks. I swear this kids never gets cold!!! Anyways Isaac was the easiest to pack for and I am sure will be the least maintence(for the rest of his life I am pretty sure).

New Teeth

Gregs mom snapped this cute pics of kinzer. She has 4 teeth and counting. The best part about this girl teething is that you would have no idea. She has had a runny nose, but never fussy. All you have to do is look at her and she gives you and ear to ear grin. Pure JOY!!!
